Black and white decoration

The combination of black and white has a neutral effect, because they are two opposites: white brings light and softness to the decoration, while black transmits strength and depth. If we only use black and white we will tire quickly. We are going to have an ornate interior in the Baroque style. The Importance of Black / White Balance

We often think that decorating in black and white is to use 50% of each shade, but the truth is that for balance reasons you have to give more importance to white and dose black. The rationale is to avoid over-emphasizing the contrast between the two shades of black and white. It is about giving warmth to the room.

Abuse rugs, tapestries, cushions, pictures; and don't stop to mix fabrics: velvet, cotton, wool, linen, lace; graphic, striped, patterned, polka dot. With the above you will make a room decorated in black and white more welcoming; while if the atmosphere turns out to be very dynamic, you discount it with accessories such as lacquered metal chairs, varnished wood, or satin curtains.
